Venus of Willendorf

This original work of art is based on the famous "Venus of Willendorf" fertility figure. It is done in encaustic (beeswax/damar resin) with mixed media. I have "etched" the figure into the wax, and rubbed oil pastels and graphite onto the surface and into the lines. The final result is stunning! This piece needs no framing and is ready to hang.
