My favorite works are those that make people smile. Perhaps it's the smile of recognition "Oh, I know and love that too!" or maybe the surprised smile, "I never saw that before! It really is beautiful, isn't it?" Or the smile of amusement "Hey, that's funny!" For all the darkness that exists--and it does exist--the world is also astonishingly full of light. We need to remember that, always, and to carry it with us.
