New Encaustic piece in my gallery!

It is an encaustic painting, inspired by a set of carved bone beads of mine. The rich surface of this piece consists of carved lines and texture made with a wire brush while the wax was still warm. I then rubbed oil pastel onto the surface and wiped some of it off. Voila! A painting was born. I hope you enjoy it.
