This is a picture of my studio. It used to be my dining room. It was set up with a table and chairs, but I never ate in there . I always ate in the kitchen. It seemed like wasted space and I have wanted an art studio for some time now, so I turned it in to one. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about working on multiple projects and last week I started a second one. the paintings in this photo are my two current projects. I can see the vision for the larger one, but getting there is going to take some time. Sometimes I feel I've bitten off more than I can chew. I have been breaking it down into a series of smaller paintings separating the sky from the sea to the main figures in the boat. The second one is inspired from a dream I had. It is going to be a self-portrait of sorts. I started with a tonal layer that I can build my face on. The skull will give me a good framework to build on. It will help me with the structure of the face.
