M. Flinn, is a local artist with no formal training. Her training does include three years of high school art classes, five years of college art classes, two years of tole painting classes and three years of private lessons; these include " Wet into Wet" and other methods of painting. These years of varied methods enables her to express herself more freely in the painting of landscapes, seascapes, florals, still life and other scenes. Recently she has taken seminars in oil, watercolor, and pastels. The oil seminars were with the well known artist, Dorothy Dent of South Missouri ; with decorative artists, Kerry Smith from Michigan ; Sandy Aubuchon, CDA; Mary Jo Leisure, MDA; and a certified Bob Ross instructor, Sheila Cahill. The watercolor seminars were with the well known artist, Duane Light from California; Kathy George from Illinois, and from local artist Shirley Eley Nachtrieb. The acrylic seminars were with Charles Johnson; and with decorative artist Bonnie Stout of Illinois. A faux finish seminar with Phillip C. Myer of PCM Studios in Atlanta, GA.

Artist Thought..."Art is a way of expressing one's feelings without using words. I would like my art to express to the viewer the feeling I had when I painted the painting."
