I am an oil painter. Recently I've begun to work with oil sticks as well as brushes. I show in the Mid-Atlantic region, primarily Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey--in private galleries and juried shows.

Biography
I started drawing around the age of 5 in my home state of Missouri. I could draw animals and humans with flesh before I could write my ABC's. I try to paint in direct way. The subject of my paintings is the paint on the painted surface. I agree with Paul Klee that it is only through painting that we see the world. "Art does not merely reproduce what we see. It makes it visible." I have spent my life in the educational field. I currently live in the state of Delaware. I have two passions, ART and FRANCE: language, literature, and culture. When not painting, I read, kayak, or garden.
