Timothy Gagnon About
There is a beautiful Jewish tradition called ___Hiddur Mitzvah___. It is based out of Exodus 15:2 and it means to ___Glorify God in a Beautiful Way___.
I have always had a natural ability to create works of art, spending the bulk of my early years drawing dinosaurs on paper grocery store bags. I would draw for hours on end using anything and everything I could get my hands on. I grew up in Berlin NH, a sleepy little town in the mountains of New Hampshire and home to one the most beautiful churches in the US. I was always fascinated with the breathtaking art that decorated St Anne__™s, whose design, by Italian Sculptor J. Castagnoli, had a profound affect on my development as both an Artist and a person of faith. Over the years I have developed great admiration for the great Masters like Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian and others whose work for the church remain among the greatest works of art in history.
Today, as an ordained minister, I travel to Churches and Conferences across the country, speaking about the Arts and painting live before congregations of all sizes and
denominations. I love to share my faith and my art with communities everywhere. To me, they are two sides of the same coin, each as much a part of me as my hands and feet. God made me an artist, and I use that talent to ___glorify Him in a beautiful way___. I have been overjoyed to see my art and dynamic performances inspiring thousands of people from all walks of life.
On November 21st, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI met with 250 Artists to discuss the
emerging second Renaissance within our culture, a time of restoration between the Arts and the Church. This is an event that I have dedicated my life to and as an ___Ambassador of Beauty___, my goal is to create art that will inspire hope and joy in this and coming
