Bless Blurb and all who work there! They make it so easy for artists and photographers (and indeed anyone with something to say) to publish pristine editions of their work. You can design and print one book, brochure, catalogue, or album, or you can have a hundred... either way, it doesn't cost a lot. And of course there's a whole community of support from book designers and sellers. I recently joined this merry band of Blurbites, and have just taken delivery of my first publication which gives a visual snapshot of my work spanning over 15 years. This little book is a great tool to have on my travels as I meet people who aren't familiar with my eclectic works. It's also very necessary for art fairs and trade shows. I love it when I put ideas "out there" and see where they land or what they stick to! I had written a response to an article (in one of my groups on Xing) on "Doing The Work We Love", and naturally that led me to one of my favourite quotes by Joseph Campbell: ______if you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in your field of bliss, and they open doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.___ I should think that most artists can relate to this "field of Bliss"?
