Freshwater pearls with Mother of Pearl

This is another example of my jewelry work. I spent 10 days visiting my sister-in-law last winter and we had marathon beading sessions. Beading was my first foray into the realm of "art as therapy" and has been a great source of peace and sanity for the last 18 years! I've now rediscovered a long-lost interest in painting and photography, and more of my energy is pointed in that direction of late, but I still get out the bead boxes and play with beads. Truth be told, my interest in photography was rekindled as I was taking photos of the jewelry. I had such a good time that I just kept taking pictures!

Pewter freshwater pearls and grey mother of pearl rectangles. This is a three piece set - 19" necklace with SS lobster claw clasp, 7" bracelet with toggle clasp, and earrings.

Other examples of my jewelry can be seen at www.swift-river-arts.com

Thanks for reading. Jackie
