___All I want to do is draw and paint!___ This has been my desire & passion since childhood. I studied art in high school and college, but as a single parent needed to leave school to support myself and my son, Harley (who is now an awesome artist, photographer and world traveler!). While juggling the responsibilities of work and family, I worked on my own to sharpen my skills, taking photos, painting and drawing every spare moment. I was introduced to Pastel, when friend, Donna Tweedle, a successful watercolorist and pastelist from Leesburg FL, gave me a set of Rembrandt Pastels. I fell in love with the medium! The immediacy and freedom of working in soft pastels is enthralling! Whether painting ___market___ vegetables, a striking sunset, a local landmark, or far-away landscapes, my impressionistic style is a reflection of my love for my surroundings and expresses the simple beauty I see in the ordinary and in the miraculous. homes and businesses of my clients.

After 17 years working for Non Profit organizations (almost 10 years as an Executive Director for the American Cancer Society), I took the the leap and pursue my passion. Life is much too short not to do what I was meant to do.

Recently I attended the pastel workshop of Master Pastelist Albert Handell in Apalachicola, FL. This spring I exhibited at tthe Leesburg Art Fest, held a demonstration at the Lake Port Square Art Show. This Summer I have a demonstration and speaking engagement at the Leesburg Public Library

I market my through local specialty shops and have recently opened a Gallery space at Main Street Art and Antiques in Leesburg. I aspire to sell my work on a national levels at outlets such as Crate & Barrell or Williams Sonoma.

Finally and most importantly I give God the glory for the talent and passion he has given me and I hope my work brings a lifetime of enjoyment to many.
