Grain a voler

Grain a voler, is a lotus flower that blooms once a year on the fresh water bayous of Louisiana, off large green lily pads. The heart of the flower produces nut like seeds that can be eaten. Cajuns call it, "Cajun peanuts"The term, grain a voler means,"seeds that fly", or "seeds in the air". I photographed the flowerwith the green pads but chose to leave out the green lily pads in this painting to show how much they resemble the La. Magnolia. Size of art is 18x20 with white wood frame
