A monochrome photograph of One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, in lower Manhattan. As I took the picture, I noticed what appeared to be a pattern of crosses on the walls of the building. http://ronablack.com/featured/one-world-trade-center-rona-black.html. www.ronablack.com 0 comments

This abstract photograph was taken at the top level of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. It's a view between two glass walls that make up the top part of the facade of the building. The left wall reflects lights of the traffic on Broad Street below. At the top left is a bit of fuchsia roof lighting in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness; this photograph was taken in October. In the center of the image, the Atlantic Building can be seen outside a portion of the vaulted steel and glass roof. http://ronablack.com/featured/between-glass-walls-rona-black.html. www.ronablack.com 0 comments

Taken on the High Line in New York City, this photograph shows a juxtaposition of an old brick building with the modern textured steel and glass structure adjacent to it. The modern building leans at a slight angle in to the High Line. http://ronablack.com/featured/leaning-in-at-the-high-line-rona-black.html. www.ronablack.com

Under the Overground is an abstract photograph of light falling on London Overground arches. This light play is particularly dramatic on a sunny day, on Grosvenor Road in Chelsea. http://ronablack.com/featured/under-the-overground-rona-black.html. http://ronablack.com 0 comments

Comcast Center, Philadelphia's tallest building, practically disappears in dense fog. Gallery-quality prints of this monochrome image are available on a choice of fine art papers with a selection of mats/frames, as well as on canvas, acrylic, aluminum and fine art cards. http://ronablack.com/featured/fade-to-grey-rona-black.html. http://ronablack.com 0 comments

Five O'Clock Shadows is a view of downtown Philadelphia from Rittenhouse Square. We were scheduled to fly back to Salt Lake City yesterday but Hurricane Sandy will keep us here for a few more days. Took this photograph last week. rona-black.artistwebsites.com 1 comment

Back in Philadelphia to visit my family and looking forward to hearing the Philadelphia Orchestra (where I used to work). Here is a shot of their beautiful hall, The Kimmel Center, designed by Rafael Vinoly, from my archives. rona-black.artistwebsites.com. http://ronablackphotography.wordpress.com 0 comments

Here is another look at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Taken in the lobby of the third floor. I love the warmth of the woods and how they visually echo the sounds of the strings in the concert hall. http://rona-black.artistwebsites.com/featured/counterpoint-rona-black.html rona-black.artistwebsites.com. http://ronablackphotography.wordpress.com 0 comments

Here is another photo I took of Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. I just love shooting this photogenic building. (Can a building be photogenic?) rona-black.artistwebsites.com 0 comments

Abstract photograph taken in the atrium of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. The Kimmel Center is home to The Philadelphia Orchestra which is exiting bankruptcy today. As a fan and former employee, I wish them all the best as they move forward. rona-black.artistwebsites.com 0 comments
