I believe that as an artist, it is my responsibility to continue growth in my field. I try to attend workshops that will help me expand my view or perspective. I have been fortunate to have found a great teacher in Fred Graff, his method of teaching allows the student to pursue their style at their level without stiffling the creativity. To me this is the essence of a great teacher Sometimes I hit a plateau and stay there for a while, and other times something just clicks and I take off again. Maybe some artists are content to stay where they are because it is profitable, but that is not my reason to paint. I want to be able to convey feelings, communicate, and do it simply with powerful art. Creativity is a strong drive in many people, it should be cultivated. The world did not evolve without creativity. Keep you brush to the paper.
