Linda Payne-Sylvester About
I'm been taking photographs for many years. After I studied painting and printmaking at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts I began a career in commercial printing and publishing. Highlights during that time included taking a photography workshop given by Ansel Adams in Yosemite, working on The Christian Science Monitor as photo researcher and photo contributor and then working for a number of years in magazine publishing as photographer, photo reseacher, and designer, receiving awards for my photography work. In addition to my editorial work, my love of color and design had been developing and I began to have opportunities to sell my fine art prints through art consultants to corporate clients.
Since then, I've converted to the digital darkroom and work with digital cameras, scanners, and sophisiticated ink jet printers which allow me to control the color of my prints. I use archival, pigment based inks to print my photographs on fine art papers.
I enjoy setting up floral or other natural subjects in natural or studio settings.
