Ryan Burdzinski About
Born in Ravenna, Ohio in 1982, Ryan Burdzinski began receiving awards for his art during childhood, including a Silver Key in the 1998 Governor__™s Youth Art Competition. He attended Kent State University in 2000, creating his first collages from periodicals and personal photographs. He soon came to enjoy oil painting, so the collages became studies for paintings instead of individual pieces.
Burdzinski trained with several graphics programs and began using the computer as a major tool in his work while attending college. New doors were opened in the realm of collage and allowed him to edit forms more efficiently. Armed with these skills and newfound freedoms, Burdzinski__™s work grew more colorful and intricate. With the addition of depth and light effects, his paintings became more surreal than abstract.
The year 2006 introduced Burdzinski__™s work to the general public when he was included in his first two exhibitions, Intersections and Three Way at the Meyers School of Art in Ohio. That same year, the Kent State University School of Art displayed his collection A Million Each. In 2007 he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus in Painting.
Burdzinski currently resides in Strongsville, Ohio, working as a freelance painter and graphic designer. He continues to work on his own series of paintings in his free time.
