I wanted to try to make a really detailed painting. It is rather small, so I had to work with smaller brushes. I began by painting in the teapot, then working some on the cup. Then I put in the background, finished the cup, and lastly I painted some more detail on the pot. I really like the way the red blanket, which they stand on, enriches the objects in color. It is a very warm painting, painted using a warm lightsource. The background is mostly Transparent Oxide Red and Ultramarine.
