After reading the most recent post, Kathryn Arnold, blog interviewee forwarded a Newsweek article regarding a significant decline in creativity scoring in the American youth, ___Creative Crisis.___ While citing TV, video games and school curriculum as ___culprits___ for the new disturbing downward trend, my daughter of twelve years Samantha, brings another possibilityto light. I__™m calling it the MacGyver Factor. She feels that as we evolve with technology, we__™re not forced to use our creativity for problem solving etc. So, we__™re not exercising the right side of our brain as much as we have in the past.
