jason Crandley About

I like to paint in oil most of the time, but i have just started using pen and ink, and wash, again, I like to jump from the two, so, when one is not working, i find it helps to do that. You can see more art work, at Add Comment

I discovered the pleasure of painting and art, when I became aware I had dyslexia. It gave me the confidence and strength to overcome the problems that dyslexia brings in the modern world. I was mainly self-taught, but I've taken advice and guidance from Phil Tyler, a prominent and accomplished artist who studied under Robert Lenkiewicz. After exploring different genres of art a family move to Cornwall helped me realise where my heart lie. It was the peace and tranquility of the stunning Cornish landscape that engulfed our new family home, which gave me the inspiration to create works of art that leads you into Cornish landscape. In whichever direction you look, at any given time the landscape of Cornwall is always going to be a source of inspiration for me. My first solo Exhibition was in 2003 and I continue to exhibit where I can.
