wolf song was painted on the back yoke for a western dress, though when I finished this piece I found it too dark for the gold colored deerskin dress, and repainted it in lighter colors. I still really love the impact of this piece. it is painted with acrylic fabric paints on leather and heat treated to make it permanent and flexible. the paint sinks into the leather becoming part of it and takes on the same characteristics as leather. this type of painting is only done on top grain leather. this piece is the second leather painting I had ever attempted to do at the time, while developing this method and technique of painting.
