  • This is a mixed media painting. I used charcoal, watercolor,collage and casine. I love to paint moonlight as you probably know by now--this is a scene I saw in the country not far from our home. The pine trees have a lot of charcoal on them. Pine trees are my favorite tree also. I did this on a 36by24 canvas.

  • I painted this from an actual scene. When John and I were up in Northern Michigan staying at his place on Lake Belle Aire at Shanty Creek, It was pouring down rain that night. John had taken a fall and we had to take him to the doctors. I couldnt sleep worrying about him, so I sat up at night and I started to pray for him. This big picture window was in the Living room and overlooked the lake. As I prayed , it was raining so hard outside and then all of a sudden --the clouds broke apart and out came the moon. I knew that God had heard my prayers and so i could sleep. I came home and painted this in Acrylic--can you see the rain? And the moon?? I will always remember that night and especialy as I look at the painting. unframed
