Painting from the Bible

Several years ago, I started to paint from the Decriptions of the Bible. I did a few and have 2 paintings left. I thought I would share them with you. I worked on the last book of the Bible, [Revelations.] This painting was taken from the 4th Chapter and verse 10. {Quote] "The four and twenty Elders fall down before HIM who sat on the Throne, and worship HIM who lives forever and ever. and cast their crowns before the Throne, saying YOU are worthy, O LORD, to receive Glory and Honour and Power, for YOU have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created." meaning --- That the creation and every part of creation,is going to be completely restored, and all because of what Christ did at the Cross.! I did these in oil. It was hard to include all 24 Elders [which stand for the church of the Living God in Heaven]] However I did manage it. I will say that it was not my thing, but I did enjoy doing them. It was really a challenge. Hope this will inspire you to try it. Milliegiftsmith

As someone who paints biblical scenes myself, I really appreciate your composition here. I really love seeing heartfelt, contemporary interpretations of the Bible. Your loose style and brushwork really add to the ethereal quality of the work and the light eminating from the Father really makes for a strong focal point. And the way you did manage to arrange the 24 Elders around the throne support that even more. Thanks very much for sharing!
