Consider how great it must have been years go. It was before my time, but still I love to paint those days. When neighbors were friendly and spent time togeher, No television to occupy their time. I call this painting "After the Meeting". I have done a lot of this kind of work and have sold them all, but a few. It is a time when God was very important and life was serene and happy. I can remember when I was young and we had a big screened in front porch, every Saturday night we had the neighbors over for home made ice cream and chacolate cake. My mother could make the best chacolate cake and my dad made the ice cream in an ice cream maker. There was a lot of conversatuion, and no T.V. to interrupt. My family spent time afterwards with a family Bible reading and prayer. My dad would read the Bible and we all took turns praying. It seems that nowadays, people are so busy , running to and fro. Not taking time to do the things we used to do. For instance--every Saturday we go for pizza with our dog and then take a long country ride. Cars will speed by us so fast, I think that they don't even look at the beauty around them. Everything is so different now. I guess that is why I love to paint the GOOD OLE DAYS. They call it "nastalgia" and I agree it is just that. Millie
