During, before and after a stint at Bard College (Class of 2000), Maz lived in and visited all over the world, including the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Canada, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, and Korea.
Maz loves to play with art mediums. Her mediums have included; oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, photography, digital photo-manipulation, paper art such as marbling, book making, and mail art, printmaking, wax sculpture, and jewelry making. Her current favorite is collage and watercolor, a la Wangechi Mutu, whom she saw in an exhibition in Paris last June.
She has studied movement arts, including tai chi, hapikido, aikido, ballet, pilates, modern, tap, chi kung, and the current favorite, experimental dance. She is also studying to be certified as a chi kung teacher.
