I painted this piece from memory of how the land looked after it had rained a lot, and how wonderful to see the sun. The uncertainties of watercolor makes painting in it exciting. You are never sure if the piece you are working on is going to result in what you are hoping that it will be. I enjoy using unusual colors not necessarily found in actual landscapes. It breaks us away from the usual into greater excitement and delight of expression.
