Autumn Fading
This scene developed from memories of various walks in the woods in the autumn in Virginia. I started painting it on the left side, and it just evolved in a wonderful way as my memories of my walks began to show up in the painting. There are nuances of colors and lines on the right side that are in some aspects unusual. These patterns came as a result of the brush marks of acrylic mat medium I used to apply the rice paper to the watercolor paper. Unframed size: 21-1/2" w x 14" h.
