Mark Sarty About
Born in 1949. I started painting watercolor paintings at the age of eight in Victoria, B.C. in Beacon Hill Park. The second week of an art class, I couldn't locate the rest of the painting class. I went back to the park each week and taught myself how to paint watercolors. I became a completly self taught artist. I sold my first painting at about thirteen years old. A major collector for the Oakland Museum, purchased three of my large watercolors when I was sixteen years old. I won an art contest when I was seventeen that represented the state of California and a pen and ink drawing of mine traveled to New York and three other major cities in a Hallmark art show. Alot of time has pasted between my youth and 2012. I have been painting for over 55 years now. I think I may still have some magic left. Watch for sixteen new watercolors painted so far this year. Giclees will be available and another one man show soon. I hope you more than like my art. Thanks for your interest.
