Margot Trombley About
Margot Trombley is a native New Yorker who has made her home in Florida since 1975. She is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BA in English and a minor in creative writing. She is a self-taught artist who also studied pencil drawing with E. A. Furman and took all available 2 dimensional art courses at St. Petersburg Jr. College (Now St. Petersburg College).
The recipient of many awards in the 1980s, she sold her artwork at various juried shows mainly in Florida. Her artwork is in numerous collections in the USA and abroad.
Starting in the late 1980__??s she became a graphics artist and typesetter, creating ads for various companies nationwide. The graphic arts career lasted for 15 years and entailed so much overtime that participating in art shows was not an option. She recently returned to the art show circuit and her work reflects her painting, drawing and collage roots along with her more modern computer skills. Her work is totally based on her own photography and imagination.
The digital art is composed with varied combinations of the artist__??s original drawings, paintings, collages and photography. This artwork cannot be achieved and other way but digitally. Different elements are used in each piece depending upon what the desired outcome is. The digital art is original art because it is not reproduced from anything and only exists on the computer. The resulting limited edition artwork is on archival paper with archival inks.
The artist__??s aim is to combine texture, bold colors and movement to engage the viewer into a different way of looking at the world. She is a digital artist, painter and collagist.

(2008) Bonita Springs National, Las Olas (the museum return show), Boca Raton National, Apollo Beach Manatee Festival, Mainsail Arts Festival.
