STUDIO SPACE

When I started painting seriously almost 40 years ago, I was like many artists, using the dining room table at Mom's house ... putting my "stuff" away after each session. This meant everything had to be put out again for the next time. Over the years, things have improved. I gained two small bedrooms at Mom's to hold my supplies and work on my art. I commuted to Mom's after I married, until Mom later moved in with us. I found room to paint but no matter how much I measured and planned, my drafting/painting table would only fit in a corner of the kitchen. Seven years ago I was able to take over one of two bedrooms just for my art and the computer.Last month I removed some excess furniture and found a new home for my drafting table in the dining area we no longer use… Continue reading… 1 comment
