Before viewing them through a creative lens, tulips never seemed to be more than just beautiful flowers to me. Now, after hours of examening them from different viewpoints and lighting conditions I see them as magnificent, sensual playgrounds for artistic expressions. The name "2lips" on this set of images came from the insight that the word "tulips" could be expressed in a manner that more accurately described the sensual feelings they evoked in viewers who claimed "the tulips were kind of sexy". My husband came up with the idea that I could spell "tulips" like "2Lips", to discern mine from others. And so it is. Iris Light IV

I created this series called Iris Light I-VI, to add as my submission to a certain contest I had in mind. Had a good time creating them, as always, and I got a lot of great feedback from friends and others. I did not make it to the final though, in that certain contest. It made me sad and for a while even angry "How could they reject my beautiful pictures?" Finally I came to realize that not every judge can adore my pictures, and maybe its not the judges remarks that make my heart sing and my creativity flow, but remarks as "I adore your work", "magical" and "gorgeous", which short as they are, (and not very technical:)) comes from the heart of the viewer and enters mine, without the need of any long explanations… Continue reading… 1 comment
