The "baby" is on its way. Okay, so the analogy doesn't exactly work
Last night, I uploaded the final manuscript of "Soulistry-Artistry of the Soul: Creative Ways to Nurture Your Spirituality" (description of the book at the bottom of this post, in case you're curious) to the publisher in the UK and for the next 3 months, they do the editing, book and cover design and then it comes back to me for a final edit and then whoosh ... off to be printed and circulated for global release.
Talk about being blessed!
For the past three years, I've been slowly working on 'the book' thinking that this fall I would complete it and in the spring of 2011 would begin the process of seeking a publisher. Well, those were my plans. Then, serendipity happened. Out of the blue this past May, came an email from a publisher asking if I'd be open to chatting about possible publication of my book. And the rest, as they say, is "history"!
The publisher for this book also wants to publish it as an e-book - it seems that's the way of the future of the book publishing world! So, last night, the "baby" was uploaded and sent off ... more a "sending the child off to college" feeling now that I think of it!.
What a journey this has been - and it's not over yet! :-) June www.soulistry.com
Soulistry (Artistry of the Soul): Creative Ways to Nurture Your Spirituality encourages readers to re-connect with the intangible soul-essence of life and experience rich spiritual growth.
Through a series of inspirational quotations from ordinary and extraordinary human beings around the world (artists, philosophers, poets, lyricists, historians and more), well-known and not-so-well-known, living in different centuries along with accompanying Soul-Questions, this creative book challenges, nurtures and nourishes spirituality: it encourages readers to realize their creative potential; deepen their awareness of the presence of the holy around them; recognize and celebrate their inner wisdom; and embrace life in new ways.
Pre-orders can be made through Amazon, Chapters, Indigo and local booksellers. Thanks for helping "get the news out." ;-)
