On May 14, 2010 Cuban American Artist Jose Acosta will participate in group exhibition at Marion Royael Gallery in Beacon, New York. The exhibition titled ___New York, New York It__™s all about the City will feature work by most of the represented artists of the Marion Royael Gallery along with a few invited artists. The opening reception is May 14, 2011 from 6-10 PM. The exhibition will be up from May 14th thru June 5th of 2011.

Acosta started his professional career as an artist in 2004, and began to exhibit in galleries and art fairs. That same year at his first public exhibit, Acosta won the Best of Show at the Dutchess County Art Fair. He has continued to exhibit widely since 2004 in a number of solo and group shows. By 2011, he has shown in over 300 group shows and has had 19 solo shows. The World Bank in Washington, DC, acquired seven of his works at the International Caribbean Art Fair in New York in 2007, and in September of 2008, the University of Pennsylvania acquired his painting, "Staying Alive," to display in the art library. In 2010 he became a member of the French Academy Arts-Sciences-Lettres and in 2011 he won the Bronze Medal in Art awarded by French Academy Arts-Sciences-Lettres Acosta is represented by Marion Royael Gallery in Beacon New York. His works can be found in over 300 private collections worldwide, and in many public collections, including: Lanc__me, The World Bank, University of Pennsylvania, United Cerebral Palsy, Healthy Families Beacon, Touro College, and the Rubin Collection.
