Union City New Jersey considered by many the Cuban-American Capital of the World was the host city to a grand event at QbaVa Gallery on Friday October 9, 2009 The local newspapers and area residents were most supportive of the event and the gallery was packed all night long. The guests enjoyed music by Juan Manuel Ortega and lots of wine and delicious food.
Jose Acosta showed his contemporary Cuban American paintings including "Patriot" the painting had just returned from the Queens Museum of Art Show. Both El Especialito and Personalidades Newspapers ran nice articles on Jose Acosta including an interview written by the famous art critic Jorge Mora.
