JonesMoore Studios - Biography
Ms. JonesMoore is a graduate of Colorado State University, with a BFA in Fine Art and Graphic Design. After working as a designer in Denver and San Francisco for over fifteen years, she decided to pursue her passion for painting, mixed media assemblage and encaustic collage. She currently teaches mixed media art workshops in the greater Seattle area for: ASUW Experimental College (Seattle), ArtsNow/EDCC (Edmonds) and Arts Council of Snohomish County (Everett).

Biography
Encaustics (beeswax + damar resin), collage and assemblage have been a passionate pursuit for her over the past six years, and "the scent of warm beeswax is glorious..." Ms. JonesMoore includes many items in her collages--such as fabric, digital photos from her world travels, discarded tickets and papers, bottle caps, rusty nails and hinges, sand, hardware parts and disassembled jewelry.
"I have always loved the idea of using recycled and discarded items in my artwork.... it's my tiny contribution to preserving our beautiful environment." Many of her favorite found objects and papers have come from Italy and Mexico.
Ms. JonesMoore also loves making altered books and personal shrines as a way to connect with herself and other artists on a creative level. Her works are part of private collections in the Northwest, Midwest and East coast of the United States. She is currently accepting requests to teach mixed media, encaustic and collage-oriented workshops.
