Fauvistic Oil Landscapes

I'd like to introduce my new series of work which I have named Fauvisitic Landscapes. The ideas for these landscapes come from images where I live and I have traveled. Some of these images I have seen in dreams. The colors are not true to nature and have been jumbled in my mind. The painting I am using as an example is a cul de sac near where I live on a steet called Hideaway. I photographed this area last spring when the tree were first starting to bud. I find these oil landscapes very enjoyable to create. I hope you like them too.

Matisse would be proud of you! I really love your bold use of color in all of these, I'm especially fond of Brooktree! Great Paintings!

Hi Jill,
I love those landscapes. Silent Forest and Lake Point Island are my favorites. Even though there is a color shift they seem completely natural, yellow water, purple blue trees and all. They are great.

Hi Jill,

I really like these, the surreal/digital colors are really great.
