This painting is done on Masa paper which I use quite often. The paper itself is somewhat thin and has two sides. Paper is waded up and submurged in water. Then you unwrap it. I do three different colored washes in well places area's on the wrinkled paper. It is then glued onto acid free matte board and with a brayer slowly smoothed onto matte board. I let it dry, weighted down so as not to bend. After it is dried the picture is applied and then painted. The texture on the painting is very unusual and attractive.
