New to Blogging

Not sure what to say, but this sounds like fun. I don't know what tags are, or where this Blog will go. I was painting on location at the Great Salt Lake, by Saltaire, and was committed to taking my time to get the drawing absolutely correct. Then, since time ran out I took some digital photos so I could go home and finish the painting in my studio.
I was disappointed with the differences I saw between the digital image and being there. I am more and more convinced as I continue my art career, that eyes are much better than cameras, and I need to recommit myself to working from life.
Finishing this view from a photo was nigh impossible.
Not only was the digital image so different than the real image (especially the colors) but the mood, the ambiance of painting on location was completely gone in my studio.
So, my first blog is a commitment to work from life!

Yeah! Congratulations on putting your toe in the blog water.
You can go back and edit your blog anytime if you want to add something or fix a spelling or spacing error (I have to all the time).
Tags are just what you think they are, search terms, the ones you posted are perfect for your blog. Single words are not as effective as phrases. "Art" is a pretty broad search term as is "food" or "garden" etc. I would recommend staying with the phrases unless one of the tag words is a strong or unusual one like "spelunking" You get the idea.
This blog is great, it describe an experience and your thoughts and reflections.
Excellent, looking forward to more.
