This was painted during a "paint out" with the Connecticut Plein Air Painter's Society, a group of artists that get together to paint various locations throughout the state.

I don't mind painting among curious on lookers, while some artists choose to put on their Ipods to avoid conversation, I enjoy answering any questions and hopefully inspiring new artists to get out there. Plein air painting is a much more spontaneous process than studio painting and gives the feeling of ultimate freedom. I hope to inspire others to give it a try!
