Travel to a new world of art. Explore masterful manipulation of color, texture and form. Where? At the exhibition of "Dimensions and Delights" at Abro Art Gallery in Miami, Florida. This Exhibit will feature works by artists Jose Acosta, Joel Blanco, Ryan Alvarado and Jose Pelletier.
Abro Art Gallery is a hidden gem in the Miami Wynwood Art District that represents exceptional art from both international and local talents with an emphasis on Latin American and Cuban born artists. The gallery features a celebration of life, love and passions through paintings and sculptures that are beautifully arranged and presented by Ada Balcacer Owner/Director and William Vallenilla Curator/Gallerist.
Dazzling playful technique of color by Jose Acosta will surely delight. The artist born in San Jose, Cuba immigrated to the United States in 1969. He studied at the Art Students League of New York with John Hultberg who encouraged his love for art and passion for painting. Acosta was the winner of the Best in Show at the Dutchess County Fair. He has since participated in numerous solo exhibitions, group exhibitions and art fairs. The World Bank in Washington, DC, acquired all his works (7 paintings) that were available at the ICA fair in 2007. His painting "Staying Alive" was acquired by the University of Pennsylvania and is on display in the art library of that University. In 2010 he became a member of the French Academy Arts-Sciences- Letters and in 2011 he won the Bronze medal in Arts awarded by the French Academy Arts-Sciences- Letters.
Galleries in Puerto Rico, New York, New Jersey, California and Connecticut represent Acosta. His works can be found in over 400 private collections worldwide, and in many public collections including Lancome, The World Bank, University of Pennsylvania, United Cerebral Palsy, Healthy Families Beacon, Touro College and the Rubin Collection.
Joel Blanco, Ryan Alvarado and Jose Pelletier are emerging artists in the South Florida art scene. Each of their pieces defines their own unique style yet there talents combined will provide a plethora of contemporary art with a unique Latin twist.

They are definitely pink enugoh, Mimi! I love them. I was reminded of the pink of the Redbud trees in Missouri when we lived there. Nothing like it exists in the whole wide world, I think. They are an understory tree among the oaks that riddled the rolling hillsides where we lived much like the wild dogwoods of the western side of Mount Hood forests.
