Hispanic Art Market 2011
I predict that 2011 will be another good year for Hispanic Art and Artists. Hispanic art exhibitions were very popular in 2010 and some had great results. So in 2011 I do think that we will see more Hispanic art exhibitions in the form of solo and or group exhibits. I also see more opportunities for individual artists to participate in art fairs. Although I think the high cost of these fairs negate any opportunity for the individual artist to make money. My advice to artists is to look at no cost exhibition opportunities and to make sure that your art is on the net so you can be found when your name is put into a search engine. I have had countless inquires to exhibit, because my art was seen on the net. Yes it takes time and effort to market yourself and your art, still it will all be worth it once the calls start coming in. Also remember to help others as you never know where opportunities will come from, the artists whom you give advice to today and or recommend for an exhibition will be more likely to remember you when they hears of an exhibition opportunity. Stay active in the art world and attend those art openings even if you are not thrilled about the art on display. You never know whom you are going to meet and what it may lead to in the future. Worst case scenario you learn what you do not want your art to be like and/or your future art exhibitions to look like. In life/art everyday you will learn something new and the excitement will come from trying new things and taking chances. In 2011 I hope all artists will realize that in art you create your own world and your own environment. There are no limitations and no set rules create anything and everything your heart desires. Do not be scared to put yourself into your work as that is the most interesting work of all. You see we are all unique and when we put a part of ourselves into our work, then our art is unique like us. I am expecting lots of new opportunities in 2011 and will work hard to meet as many of the goals that I have set as possible. I have set some high goals for myself because I do feel it is important to keep on pushing and driving towards success. No one is saying it is going to be easy, but for those artists that stay the course I do feel they will start to see more opportunities and success headed there way. To all the Art dealers who worked so hard for us artists in 2010 thank you and I hope you much more success in 2011. For our Collectors, Patrons, Supporters or as I call them Angels thank you for the purchases of our art and I hope you will get many times the initial purchase price in future market appreciation, joy from viewing and happiness from surrounding yourselves in art. Wishing Everyone a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year.

2011 was a wonderful year for me with lots of opertunities in both sales and exhibitions. I also won the Bronze Medal in Art by French Academy Arts Sciences & Letters and had many articles and interviews in the press. On December 18, 2011 an image of my painting "New Orleans Double Island" came out in the Metropolitan section of The New York Times so what a way to end the year. Wonderful 2011 and looking forward to more in 2012. Cuban American Artist Jose Acosta

So far this year I have had nine art sales and many Art exhibition opportunities. I also am in the book and exhibition ARTLOOK Contemporary Art Watch. I am setting high goals and striving hard to succeed. I hope all artists are able to focus on what they want to achieve and go for it in 2011. Looking forward to a fantastic year! Jose Acosta

I started out the year with 4 big sales and had my art published in RAYONNEMENT Arts-Sciences-Lettres France. So I am off to a great start. I also splurged on a new SUV and bought a great work of art created by my friend Antonio Perez Melero. I am very optimistic and feel very strongly that this will be a great year! Jose Acosta
