Art Collectors Herb & Dorothy Vogel Last night I had the pleasure of watching the movie about the art collectors Herb & Dorothy Vogel and I would highly recommend it to all Artists & Collectors. These amazing people Herb Vogel a retired Post office worker and Dorothy Vogel a retired Librarian amassed a collection of over 4700 pc of art from some of the most famous artists from the 60's to present. They did this with modest means and lived off of Dorothy's salary while using Herb's salary to buy art. Because of their constant support of artists in purchasing works they not only built a priceless collection that they would end up donating to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC but helped numerous amount of artists financially… Continue reading… 3 comments
