I enjoyed the art exhibit and the music and singing that were all part of the program. My friend and fellow artist Jose Rodeiro was great in that he introduced me to many fellow artists that I did not already know and also to many of the distinguished guests that attended this event. One of the organizers of the event Robert Rosado was also kind enough to introduce me to many distinguished guests…

Hispanic Art Market Report Summer 2011

Hispanic Art Market Report Summer 2011
The art news is great in 2011 if you are the estate of any of the super famous Latin American artists who are breaking price records this year. Still I see lots of room for improvement and I look forward to even higher prices on select quality work by these and other artists that become available. As per the living artists the super stars are back on their way to the top with better auction prices and more demand for their quality work. Some have had very successful exhibitions both here in America and abroad. The rest of the Hispanic art market will soon benefit from the higher price that Latin American art is bringing at auction and I see a bright future ahead…

Exhibit, Exhibit, Exhibit.

Exhibit, Exhibit, Exhibit.
What is the magic formula? All of us artists would love to know, what we need to do to get more sales of our works. Is it price point? Type of art we create? Places that we show our art? Art dealers who sell our work? Etc...
I do not have the magic formula. I do know however that the most important thing to do is to exhibit your art as much as possible. If you do not show your art it will not sell and that is the key thing to remember. I have a few friends who have spent fortunes exhibiting at every gallery that promises them the world and then delivers close to nothing. They are looking for the quick fix instead of trying to create what they feel will truly satisfy them and what they want their creative minds and art to symbolize…
