  • Desert with Gepard, Acrylic Collage, 15,7x11,8 inch, 2007. The acryl collage consists of picture parts of different perspectives and components of various countries. Right down in the picture two different perspective are presented the ocher rocks of Roussillon/France, a bizarre and colored landscape, which are astonishing. The stone of this ocher rock becomes grinded in small particles and supplies one of the usually-used nature coloring materials, on whose proceeds the people of Rousillon lived long time, until chemistry perished the business. Today this rock again brings money in the country, as tourist attraction. Above this fantastic landscape rutted mountains pile up themselves up from dry flumes, which results from the technic of Decalcomanie with water-colors. Behind it a ocher colored stony desert (coffee grounds bound with Caparol) spreads up to the far horizon. A cheetah, the fastest large cat of the world, hisses the viewer of the picture left in the picture with far stretched neck projecting in the picture fear-exciting. The progress caught up also this noble animal. Also keeping in track speeds to 115 km/h do not help theese cheetahs: The captor lurk everywhere - e.g. on these gepards in Tanzania. Cheetah habitat shrinks, because more and more savannahs are transformed into fields. Consequence: The East Africa niches governments are glad, if they will be able to sell the wonderful animals lucratively. And because the cats in shank hardly increase, the demand of the zoos know no end.

Rider in front of a Pyramid
  • Rider in front of a Pyramid
  • Acrylic Painting | 23" x 32"
  • Rider in front of a Pyramid, Acrylic Collage, 31,5x23,6 inch, 2007. Before the Chephren pyramid of Giseh a bedouin gallops on a purbreed Arab. No other horse is so sustained, so frugal and so philanthropic. With the blood from Arabs almost all horses of the world were improved. Breeding foolishness however ruined the most important horse race of all times in this century nearly completely. The bedouins rides exactly in the direction of two petrified skeletons, which originate from two countries far away: the crocodile comes from the pit of Messel/Germany and the small petrified horn dinosaur from the desert Gobi. Many cubic meters of oil shale had to be split in the pit by Messel, so that this crocodile came to the light of this world. 50 million years ago, when palms were at home in Germany and the annual average temperature was appropriate for well 10 degrees more highly, these 1.10 meters long Aligator in this country felt well. Numerous further crocodiles already were found and conserved in synthetic resin by the paleontologists in the Messel oil shale. The petrified boy of a horn dinosaur right down in the picture had slipped straight out of its 20 centimeters large oblong egg, when death overtook this boy. Already with the brood palm whisk of the corrosive two-meter monster is trained that bone sign over the head, at which the massive jaw muscle was hung up. Left of the galloping bedouin a cutout from another area of the Sahara is fixed: Width of parts of the today's desert were fulfilled of lives millions of years ago. In the Sahara witness petrified Ammonites, used the today's cuttlefishs, from an prehistoric ocean, in Arizona petrified trunks of former forests. As a document for a damper climate remained in earth pounding which is past far into the Sahara also small crater keep petrified, which a hail left impact in the at that time soft soil. Only few stone balls remained of a high country. The Tschigai plateau belonged in the northwest of the Tibesti mountains to the hardly investigated regions of the earth. Hundreds of square kilometers are littered with these meter-large stone balls. They are last remnants of laminated sedimentary rocks. The wind and still unexplored micro-climatic conditions in the moving hard shadow of the sun brought it in form.

Fata Morgana
  • Fata Morgana
  • Acrylic Painting | 43" x 47"
  • Fata Morgana, Acrylic Collage, 47,2x43,3 inch, 2007. The name Fata Morgana originates from Italy. Such a phenomenon was observed occasionally over the road by Messina between the Italian mainland and Sicilies. The vernacular called it Fata Morgana (Fee Morgana), after a figure in the saga of King Arthur. There Morgana (far more correctly handled down than in later narrations) is the half sister of king Arthur. Its former relevance becomes clear in one 1163 A.D. (at the time of the reign of the Normans) provided soil mosaic in the cathedral of the apulic Otranto, where the inscription marks it as "Rex Artus". He rides a billy goat and he is placed beside the picture of the case of sin. Unmistakable is the origin of the only from the poets of the late Middle Ages christianizated and to the ruler explained King Arthur, which might have been a celtic God figure. Morgane inhabits the other country one or shade realm and accommodates there King Arthur. The myth of King Arthur comes from the Cornich or Welsh Celts again arrived either with the Normans to Sicilies or during the crusades to South Italy. These spread the legend in South Italy and on the way to Palestine. The figure of the Fee Morgana is older than the medieval saga of King Arthur, it originates from that celtic mythology. The old Irish saw transparent palaces in the comparatively frequent mirages over the sea, in which their Gods lived. Morgana inhabited the island Avalon, which was designated later at that time very Christian humans than shade or fairy empire, since one did not believe no more in the legend, Avalon had really existed. The name Morgana is probably derived from Greek margarites = bead and Arab margan = coral. In the picture the figure before the pyramid has an effect like a Fata Morgana, since it appears behind a veil. It concerns the bust of the Nofret, an Egyptian princess. In front of Nofret a Tuareg from Mali on a camel rides on a dune.

Two Riders in the Desert
  • Two Riders in the Desert
  • Acrylic Painting | 27" x 31"
  • Two Riders in the Desert, Acrylic Collage, 31,5x27,6 inch, 2007. In the center of the picture two bedouins - similar as in the picture "rider before pyramid" - gallop on purebreed Arabs in direction of the viewer. Six hours gallopp without break do not constitute an efford for a purbreed Arab. These horses however, which Allah created of the legend after from a hand fully wind, today still something is hardly demanded. The engine set their for muscles also in Egypt except course. Thus the majority of the Arabs, to bare breed animals degradiert, stands only around. The horses of these two Beduinen seem to form an exception, which gallop to over flat desert sand. In the background is its own nearly ebenerdige architecture landscape, which works like an excavation place and reaches up to the foot of the gruenfarbenen sandduenen, over which a greenish sky curves. On the flat parts grey bars of same length and symmetrical arrangement are perpendicularly into the soil rammed. Do they serve for purposes of the shut-off positions or the mapping of excavation terrain?
