Chapter I As I returned from a journey to the northern Galilee I exited the city of Tiberias, turning west, and began driving up the mountain. It was late in the afternoon, a few hours before sunset. Suddenly, my eyes were met by a panoramic view of the valley, visible beyond eucalyptus trees. This scene captured my heart. I stopped at the side of the road and took the last photos of my journey.I used one of these photos as reference for a painting. I loved the sight of the fields scattered in the valley, the two multicoloured trees with their leaves blocking part of the view and the, oh ,so Israeli thorn field.
