I started off my life in graphic arts and after art school I took my first of many graphic positions. I enjoyed graphics but found something missing and soon started experimenting with fibers. My first venture was weaving baskets and this lead to loom weaving and spinning. Soon these 3 merged into one art form. Art continued to always be in my background. When I first started playing with fabrics my graphic background was evident and painting/drawing on fabric was a natural progression. My love of jewelry continued to grow and a desire to mix this with fiber was a strong draw. As you can see I have many interests and they all flow into my fiber art. This mix became my signature mix media work. I teach beginner drawing and painting classes, advanced wire jewelry and poly clay workshops locally. My art is my life and creating is what keeps me going - to find the next new challenge.
