Eugina Baer-Witt About
My first concrete memory of "a need to create" was in first grade. My teacher noticed that my birds were made with one contour line instead of several geometric shapes. I loved making those birds and she had me make all of them for the bulletin board. I have never wanted to be "like the others" always looking for a different perspective or take on things. Teaching art was an inevitable step. I have absorbed the energy and inspiration that the students have given me every bit as much as the knowledge that I have shared with them.
Working with the figure is central to what ever media I am working in. I love bold colors, extreme contrast and dramatic angles.
