despite a windy and chilly saturday the folks from springfield came out and supported the 35th annual "old capitol art fair"...thankfully sunday was a much better weather day but both days were well attended. one unique thing about this show is the childrens tent...participating artists at the show donate artwork which is then sold in the kids art tent for $4, $5, and $6 and its "kids only" in the they make their own purchases once inside. we think its a neat idea and gets kids interested in buying art. judging from the lines waiting to get in...we think its a big hit with the people in springfield as well. we have some new peg-heads to thank this week...john robinson bought the piece pictured a big thank you to john...and also thanks to mr & mrs graham and ms c manning for their support this weekend. these three purchases went a long way to making for a successful show for us...but thanks to everyone who made a purchase or just stopped to comment on the art...for attending the show. now we are busy getting ready for a very busy month of we have art fairs every weekend...and none of them are in wisconsin. first up is edina, mn., near minneapolis...then talbot street in indianapolis, in. followed by stone arch back in minneapolis...and then "the other art fair" in des moines, ia. to wrap up the month. other than talbot street...these are all first time shows for we are looking forward to exhibiting peggy's artwork to a new audience at these well respected art fairs. hopefully we'll see you in june. thanks for reading...
