Peggy Engsberg Furlin Art Blog
we learned something new this weekend...while exhibiting at the firefly art fair in wauwatosa, wi. a patron told us that wauwatosa is the potowotomi word for "firefly". it could have also meant beautiful weather because after a week of intense heat and humidity...the weekend was cooler and much less humid with alot of sunshine. I guess it was a chamber of commerce kind of weekend. the kneeland-walker house is an ideal setting for an art fair and thanks to all the great volunteers and to the patrons who came out to support the show.
we also have a special thank-you for sue j. who took this piece home...one of our favorites...to hang over her fireplace...we're glad that purple is her new color...and we certainly hope she gets many years of enjoyment from her purchase.
next week we have a show in lake geneva, wi. its held in library park...downtown on hwy 50 at the beautiful lakefront. we didn't do this show last year so it will be good to get back there and see old friends. our booth is number 35 and the show is open from 10-6 on saturday and 10-4 on sunday. the long range forecast looks to be ideal...lets hope it holds. and if it does...we hope to see some of you in lake geneva. thanks for reading... peace
