Biography

I consider myself an Artographer; one who blends photography with art. I use concrete and abstract ideas, thoughts, and feelings to convey something that the lens just can't capture alone. Throw it all in a bag, shake, and voila.

Being raised a "Military Brat" stationed in Europe, a camera helped me to chronicle my travels. I had to work two summers just to pay for my first camera, but boy she was a beauty, my Cannon T50. We went all over the world together; Greece, Italy, Germany, France, you name it we shot it. Of course, I was not a professional photographer back then, but that really didn't matter. i could take a picture of anything I wanted to, no rules, and no "nay-sayers." Sadly, years later that very same camera met with its tragic end on a beach in Maui.

I am deeply passionate about composing my art. I simply just turn my lens towards unpredictable sources, That might be the way a shadow falls, or plays of color and space. It might be the roof of a building, the hood of a car, or even a rack of clothing. I see opportunities everywhere, not only a face or landscape, but the passed-over shots. They're all around us, those pictures that most people might deem not worthy. Just take a moment, see and feel all that is around you. Forget the rules, forget who's judging, and let's create as if we were 5 years old again. I'm creating for the fun of it, creating for the hell of it! Now here is where most people would simply stop, after that "click." Taking the picture is only the beginning of the adventure not the end for this artist. Now it's time to bring out the paints the brushes, and the scissors. Put your apron on, It's time to get messy.

Ultimately my goal is to leave the viewer with a feeling of excitement. I want to show you something familiar and something new, in perhaps a never before perceived way. It's the journey that counts right? Now let's go color outside of those lines and break some rules.
