Denise Franzino About
A portrait by Denise Franzino captures a moment in the life of a family, an heirloom to pass down to future generations. Using her experience with both fine art and illustration, Denise creates an oil painting that reflects the true nature of every person who sits for a portrait. Denise graduated with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in illustration and has experience as an illustrator for the New York Times, Doubleday Books, and several prominent publishing companies. Denise studied for 11 years with John Frederick Murray and has completed hundreds of commissions for portraits and fine art work, in addition to receiving numerous awards for her work in fine art and portraiture, including the prestigious Theora J. Jensen Award in the national competition held at the Hudson Valley Art Show.
