  • This picture is of one of my Korats. His name was Rocky for short. His real name was Syriam Kwam Rahk #1. He was originally bred from a line that dates back 100's of years to the original Siamese cat of Siam/Thailand which was the Korat. Most of you know what the American Siamese looks like. They come with different colored points. The Korat however is silver-tipped with fur like velvet and eyes like dewdrops. Their eyes are amberish yellow in their early years and then turn almost chartreuse. They are gorgeous and well mannered loving animals. They are Pedigreed and hard to come by, but are well worth the wait. I have owned 4 korats over many many years, along with two other American bread Siamese seal points and an Absynnian or two...I have been fortunate to locate my Korats from the right breeders and enjoy these gentle cats. They are my children!

  • Color Photography | 5" x 7"
  • This photo was taken of one of the many Korats that I owned, named Kalaya Mekhala, which means "Good Lady" In Thailand which used to be called Siam. Korats are the original bred Siamese cats. ( unlike what most know as the American Siamese) Kalaya was small but mighty, and she always got her way!!!

"Rocky I & Churai"
  • "Rocky I & Churai"
  • Color Photography | 5" x 7"
  • These were my two original Korats named Rocky I and Churai. They were from Washington State, bred in Renton, Washington, by a well known pedigreed Korat breeder. They lived to be about 16-17 years old, and when I lost them, I had to wait a long time and follow their lineage before I could get two more of the same breed and same line.

  • If I were able to have eyes like my cat Rocky, I imagine that I would look at life through a whole different spectrum. His eyes have always been fascinating to me. They have changed colors from Amber gold to green and are always sharp and clear~ Doesn't he look sharp here?

  • This picture was taken of my Cat Kalaya Mekhala who always got into mischief regardless of her small stature. She could definitely hold her own! Here she appears to be asking "why me?" with her innocent eyes! ( Cat manipulation!!)

"Aren't I beautiful!"
  • "Aren't I beautiful!"

  • Of course this is another picture of one of my Korat cats. Couldn't resist showing that he too has been influenced by Hawaii. Love the contrast of his luminous yellow-green eyes, and silky gray fur to the background~
